I've worked within the education sector for over 20+ years, supporting and developing educational technology for a variety of instatutions, including state, independant and specilist academy schools. I've also help support Wiltshire County and the South West Grid for Learning with some of their IT projects.
Originally starting as an ICT technician, Ian began by designing robust and integrated network systems for a demanding set of users. Working closely with staff and students to enable delivery of a whole school, 21st century, creative curriculum.
Ian's system experience has covered a huge range of technologies right from Windows 95 through to Windows 10, from NT4 servers to Windows 2016, and has worked on many iterations of Exchange, SQl, SCCM, Sharepoint, IIS, Forefront, Lync etc.
He's also implemented many Apple based networks, utilizing OS X servers, and successfully integrating iMacs and Macbooks onto AD networks.
Currently at Monkton Combe School as the "Network Manager", Ian is responsible for the development of the whole school ICT infrastructure over several sites.
He is a Microsoft Certified System Engineer as well as an Apple Certified Support Professional
